Farmers Market Loot, June 14

I know I’m posting this a little late, but I went to Texas to visit my sister for the weekend, so my husband actually purchased this week’s loot. It’s Tuesday and we’re still working on it!
Here’s what he got (and prices are approximate):
Dines Farm: 2 whole chickens ($15); 2 dozen eggs ($3 dozen).
Panzarella’s: 1 ball fresh mozzarella ($8.50).
The Orchards of Concklin: 2 hothouse tomatoes ($3).
R&G Farms: Radishes, beets, carrots ($3.50).
Blooming Hill Farm: Strawberries, Chamomile, garlic scapes, frisee. ($19).
The Valley Shepherd: 1/2 pound each Jersey Fresh Mixte and Carameaway ($17.50).
Total: $72.50.
I know about two things he did with the loot. He took the chickens over to my folks’ house to celebrate father’s day, butterflied them and grilled them  adding a few hickory chunks along the way. (He also took them some arugula from our garden. Nice meal  sorry I missed it!)
And, for lunch last Thursday, he made an impromptu Caprese salad, and had strawberries and cheese for dessert.
God I love summer.
