The Orchards of Concklin: 12 peaches, 1 quart blueberries (the variety is Eliot): $14.

R&J Produce: 4 bell peppers, 2 jalapenos, 1 head of iceberg: $5.

Blooming Hill Farm: 10 cucumbers, 6 ears of corn, 2 watermelons: $23.

The Baker’s Wife: 1 loaf cibatta, 1/2 loaf cranberry pecan: $7.50

Panzarell’as: 1 large mozz. $8.50.

Dines Farm: 2 chickens, 1 dozen eggs, 1 package hot dogs. $29.

Total: $86.50.

I’m so making gazpacho this weekend. Actually, I’ll be making it twice. Once at home and once at the farmers market in Cold Spring, where I’ll be Saturday morning, cooking with chef Jeff Raider of Valley at the Garrison. We’ll be telling people about the Locally Grown recipe contest, so come on over and pick up an entry form. Or click here to enter.

I’m also going to make a peach tart. And plenty of BLTs. My tomatoes are in full force.

What else should I make?

The former site of Lynch’s in Tomkins Cove has undergone a complete renovation by Daniel Sheeran and is now called Sheeran’s. It is absolutely beautiful.
Also, renowned Chef Robert Roaquin, formerly of the Olde 76’ House, has joined Dan Sheeran in making this a fabulous new restaurant.
