Local Talent on ‘Top Chef’

As Chris Serico points out on my LoHud.com sister blog, Remote Access, season 4 of “Top Chefâ€? will feature Erik Hopfinger, a Chappaqua native. I have no idea how much time he’s spent in Westchester, though. If he was a teen cook with dreams of star chefdom, maybe he was slinging burgers at Peabody’s, washing dishes at Crabtree’s Kittle House or throwing pizza dough in the air at Pizza Station. Anyone know?

Erik grew up in Chappaqua with his family (the Baumgold’s) went to West Orchard, Bell and Greeley, but later ended up at Briarcliff High. I’ve had the food at Circa in SF (his current restaurant) and it’s amazing; he is very talented. The Lobster and White Truffle Mac and Cheese is to die for!!!
Cool Cheri! This definitely gives us someone to root for right off the bat!
