Food Finds in the Lower Hudson Valley

Chefs at Arts Bash in White Plains on Friday Night

On Friday, May 16, a dozen chefs will offer samples at the Westchester Arts Council’s annual ArtsBash party.

Guests can tour the Arts Exchange building, visit artists’ studios, taste food, and see the exhibit, “Local Growing Conditions.”

  • Crabtree’s Kittle House Restaurant & Inn, Chappaqua, Owner John Crabtree

  • Antonees, White Plains, Owner Perry DiNapoli

  • Alfama, New York City, Chefs Miguel Jeronimo & Tarcisio Costa

  • Tango Grill, White Plains, Chef Hector Avila

  • MacMenamin’s Grill & Chef Works, New Rochelle, Chef/Owner Brian MacMenamin

  • Blu, White Plains, Angelo DiFeo & Vinny Corso,

  • DiCarlo Food (DiCarlo Distribution Inc.), Bronx, Owner Franco Neretich

  • Wasabi, West Nyack/South Norwalk, Chef/Owner Doug Nguyen

The Tango Grill is serving empanadas and ceviche. The Iron Horse Grill is serving passionfruit blackberry tartlets. Blu will offer edamame dumplings with truffle oil and pork crostini with pomegranate. They’ll also serve ‘Blu’ and ‘Church Street’ martinis.

ArtsBash, Grand Banking Room of the Arts Exchange, 31 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains. (The party will spill out onto Mamaroneck Avenue.) Tickets are $100 and additional sponsor levels are available. To order tickets or for more information call 914-428-4220 Ext. 273.

    The food at this event is fabulous. So is the art. It's a great grazing evening, sipping, munching and looking. Be there. Be square.
