Farmers Market Events from Community Markets

Here are some events at various farmers markets organized by Community Markets for August and September.

Cooking demo with Leah Greenbaum at the Pleasantville Farmers’ Market this Saturday August 2nd from 10am-noon.

On Sunday August 3rd: cooking demonstration at the Rye Market with Chef Jordan Luchini from Morgan’s Fish House from 10-noon and heirloom tomato tasting at the Piermont Market from 11-1pm.

On Saturday August 9th: corn roast at the Ossining Market and a tomato tasting at the Katonah-Lewisboro and Larchmont Markets.

Sunday August 10th there’s a corn roast at the Piermont Farmers market.
After that, here’s the schedule:

Aug. 9

Katonah –Lewisboro Farmers Market
10:00am – noon Tomato Tasting There are so many types of tomatoes at this time in the market. Have fun tasting all of them at the manager’s tent. Then buy your favorites.

Larchmont Farmers’ Market
10:00am – noon Tomato Tasting There are so many types of tomatoes at this time in the market. Have fun tasting all of them at the manager’s tent. Then buy your favorites.

Ossining Farmers Market
10:00am – noon Corn Roast. Join “Corn King” Pono Wong, as he fires up his self-designed corn roasting barrel. There’s nothing like a plump farm-fresh golden ear of corn fresh off the grill! Free corn & lemonade too!

Aug. 16

Tarrytown Farmers Market
10:00am – noon Cooking demonstration using fresh ingredients from your farmers market. Community Market’s own Chef Lea Greenbaum creates unique recipes on-site. Come take a taste and get new ideas for cooking with the season.
Pleasantville Farmers Market
10:00am – noon Tomato Tasting There are so many types of tomatoes at this time in the market. Have fun tasting all of them at the manager’s tent. Then buy your favorites.

Aug. 17

Rye Farmers Market
