By late October, Comfort, the adorable organic cafe in Hastings-on-Hudson, will have added a big sister, Comfort Lounge. The fashionable restaurant will have hickory floors, a mahogany bar top, hand-routed bead board and millwork, a long banquette with a wooden canopy and stainless detailing. “Hidden elements that blend modern and rustic,†says chef-owner John Halko. His seasonal, local, organic menu will be a “variation on Comfort,†which is across the street. â€More international, more vegetarian, organic wines and local micro-brews,†he says. There will be live music on Saturday nights and a late night bar menu with half-portion entrees and small plates. 583 Warburton Ave., Hastings-on-Hudson. No phone yet. — Judith Hausman
