Buffet de la Gare, the classic French bistro in Hastings, has re-opened after a summer of renovations. Owners Gweanel and Annie Goulet, who had originally sold the restaurant in 2005, took it back a few months ago, closed off the annex and installed new tiles, added a new bathroom and gave the place the once-over with paint.
Gwen is back in the kitchen, making his traditional recipes: cassoulet, roast chicken, tarte Tatin. And the customers are breathing a sigh of relief, says Annie.
It’s a wonderful place for dinner on a chilly winter’s eve, especially around the holidays. Make a reservation and welcome them back.

The dining community (which we are all a part) can only be thrilled to have Gwen & Annie back. Thanks to you both for all your hard work, dedication and good taste. I know it will be a great success.
