Hi there and happy Monday! I’m pretty late posting today because I was working on my video from last night’s HVRW supper at Tavern. I hope you caught it on our 12:30 live Webcast… if not, I’ll post it here later today.
Getting ready for a bunch of restaurant meals this week, I took it easy this weekend. On Saturday, my husband and I kicked around in the garden a little, and much to our surprise, we found some edible arugula had wintered over. We picked it for our dinner:
Served it with a herb-roasted pork loin that I made according to a recipe from Suzanne Goin’s Sunday Suppers at Lucques cookbook (I adore that cookbook) and some Parmesan polenta. We dressed the arugula with preserved lemons, lemon juice and olive oil.
Here’s Saturday night supper. The empty cocktail glasses once held Aviations. The pinot noir is from New Zealand:
With that, here’s what people have been talking about this weekend. And it’s not much. People must be gearing up for restaurant week!
MH finds mixed meals at the new Trevi in West Harrison. Hates the ravioli, but adores the “the brilliant Bosco pizza. (It) was packed with the flavor of wild mushrooms and truffle set against sweet caramelized onions and fresh mozzarella.” NYT.
A heads-up on RW from the Times. (NYT)
Doug checks out Mango Mix in Larchmont, and advances that he’ll be guest-blogging for Small Bites. (Go Doug!) HT
