The Next Food Network Star, Cool Wines and Hot BBQ Books for Summer, Plus: How to Make an Easy Vinaigrette

Heather Salerno has written a terrific profile of Brett August of Doral Arrowwood in Rye Brook and Michael Prioetti of the Radission in New Rochelle, both of whom are finalists in the TV show “The Next Food Network Star:” All-American or ‘Global a Go-Go’: Is One of These Local Chefs the Next Food Network Star?

I don’t know who I’m rooting for more…. they’re both talented and both hilarious. You can really tell from this video Heather and I put together to accompany this story, too. Kudos to videographer and editor Tania Savayan, too. Of course, the real stars are Michael and Brett. Take a look:

Also in the food section today:
Cool wines for a hot summer.
BBQ books to fire up the grill.
How to improvise a vinaigrette.

Hello, I would love to see Michael win the food network star. He seems to be very comfortable in front of the camera and his personality just shines.
