From a press release:

On Thursday nights, diners at the 1761 Bird Bottle Inn in Garrison can enjoy a three-course dinner for $17.61.

Looking for a change of pace from your usual dining-out routine? Every Thursday evening residents of the Hudson Valley can step back in time while enjoying gourmet tavern fare at a bargain price at the historic Bird Bottle Inn in Garrison.

On “Warren’s Tavern Nights,” the inn, which opened originally as Warren’s Tavern in 1761, offers a special three-course menu for just $17.61. Featuring beamed ceilings, wide plank floors, wood-burning fireplaces and 18th Century-style furnishings, The Bird Bottle Inn retains the classic appeal of the Colonial era. Diners have a choice of seating in several rooms, each with its own charm, where they can enjoy a hearty meal where travelers have been coming for food, good company and lodging since pre-Revolutionary times.

Cuisine at The Bird Bottle is prepared under the direction of executive chef Douglas Gardner. A graduate of the French Culinary Institute, Gardner is an enthusiastic and innovative culinary talent who uses many Hudson Valley ingredients in his seasonal menus and puts his own creative twist on traditional French-American fare.

The spring menu for “Warren’s Tavern Nights” includes appetizers such as a corn crepe with sauted mushrooms, peppers, onions and cumin, a garden salad with raspberry vinaigrette or the soup du jour. Entrees include beer-battered fish with steak fries, house-made ricotta gnocchi in basil pesto marinara sauce, or a bistro burger with Caribbean jerk seasonings and warm potato salad. Delectable desserts include coconut panna cotta, brownie a la mode or apple crisp with cinnamon ice cream.

During the 1770’s, Warren’s Tavern was a favorite stop for both British and American soldiers on the Albany Post Road. During the Revolution, the Continental Army seized the property and used it as its Hudson Highlands headquarters. After the Revolutionary War ended, Warren’s Tavern once again returned to its peacetime function, welcoming travelers to the comfort within.

The Bird Bottle Inn is located on Route 9 in Garrison, just 10 miles north of the Bear Mountain Bridge, 30 miles north of White Plains and 50 miles north of midtown Manhattan.

Dinner is served at The Bird Bottle Thursdays through Saturdays from 6 to 10 pm and Sundays from 4 to 8 pm. A champagne brunch is served on Sundays from 11:30 am to 3 pm.
