Renderings of Moderne Barn, the New Livanos Restaurant Coming to Armonk

I dined at Oceana in Manhattan a few weeks ago — I’ll post some photos of that when I get caught up with everythning else around here! — and got the chance to chat with owner Nick Livanos about his other restaurant, Modern Barn. He’s had to do some major construction, and so it’s taking a lot longer than he thought to open. (See my original preview post on it from January, 2008 here.)
Nick, who lives in Armonk, says he’s hoping to be open by March, 2010. Here’s a sneak peek at what the restaurant will look like. In this rendering, you see a wall of wine on the left and a bar on the lower level on the right. A mezzanine is above the bar:

Nick says he is toning down his original idea of a raw bar. There will still be oysters and the like on the menu, but the fish — oops! I mean shellfish! :-O — won’t be on display. I’ll keep you posted as things progress.
